Recent activities of members of Latin Centre
In September the members of the Latin Centre joined various activities.
From September 5 to 6 the Director of the Latin Centre, Michele Ferrero, joined the International Symposium organized by State University of Torino “Confucius and Cicero, old ideas for a new world, new ideas for an old world”
His presentation was “Latin translations of Confucius’ Dialogues (Lun Yu). A comparison of key concepts”
From 25 to 27 September, Luo Ying and Li Hui joined an international conference in Rome and Naples: “Michele Ruggieri (罗明坚), Portrait of a Jesuit Missionary at the dawn of the dialogue between China and Europe”, Rome – Naples, September 25-27, 2017
Luo Ying’s paper was “Further Studies on the Latin manuscript of Four Books collected by Michele Ruggieri S.I.”
Li Hui’s paper was “A study of the Latin translation of The Great Learning （大学） in the Ruggieri’s Manuscipt”
